Real sailing in Estepona

Real sailing in Estepona

Out of the 12 competitors or so we have in Estepona there is only one besides us that really makes the effort to pull out the sails to do some real sailing. Obviously, for sailing we need wind. Let us help you find the best day with wind to get what you want and do the real sailing!

Come with us, you might even would like to take the steering wheel and learn the basics. There is something magical and mystical about being on a boat in the sea under a brisk breeze with white water curling off the bow, the sound of the wind in the rigging and the feeling of being one with the boat and nature. It appeals to the imagination. ´Sailors are in no great hurry to go anywhere. The pleasure is the journey, not the destination.´

Around Estepona there are roughly three possibilities when it comes to wind: Easterly, Westerly or no wind. When there is none it is best to go dolphin spotting. With a westerly you can expect that we will follow the coast in the direction of Gibraltar. This is our favourite wind because the land makes that waves can´t build. This is very comfortable. An easterly wind is usually less strong but comes from the sea and therefor is choppier. Let us know whether you (or your kids) would like to help to put up the sails, steer the boat and thus learn a bit about the real sailing.
