Going sailing for a day is very relaxing and enjoyable, but going sailing and actually having a goal – going to another port staying there for a night or two, enough to explore the site – is the best. Especially when you cross a very renowned stretch of water, the Strait of Gibraltar between Europe and Africa by sailing boat. This is a unique trip and destination where you otherwise would never go to.
After boarding in the morning we sail to Ceuta ( a Spanish enclave in North East Morocco, opposite to Gibraltar ). We will also cross the Strait of Gibraltar and the whole trip will take about 5 to 7 hours and we will definitely see Dolphins and maybe a turtle. In Ceuta you have ample time to do some sightseeing such as ´the Royal Walls and navigable moats of Ceuta´, some tax free shopping and eat out in one of the lovely restaurants overlooking the entire Strait.
If you are in to diving, Ceuta is the best place in a wide area. There are 7 diving centres on a population of 70.000, so there must be something to see under water.
We have chosen a diving school that can offer a wide range of activities. For example you can do something that they call a Rock-Water activity. You go in the water in the bay on the south side of Ceuta ( Desnarigado Castle ) with a wetsuit and water shoes and you will see the most beautiful caves and hidden corners that this peninsula has to offer. This activity is 30, – Euro per person. If you are not a diver, you can go in to the caves, but in a kayak. Cost per person 40, – Euro
In the diving programm there are 2 options, firstly an introduction to diving and one for people with a diving license.
The introduction is a short course consisting of two dives (one in the afternoon and one in the course of the next morning). You will in this course supervised by two instructors at your first ‘steps’ in the beautiful underwater world of Ceuta. You will learn the basics of diving in a relatively short time, however you do not get a diving license.
For those who have a diving license we can organise 2 dives as well.
For the 2 options: ideally for 4 people and cost 100, – Euro per person all included.
In Ceuta you have ample time to do some sightseeing such as ´the Royal Walls and navigable moats of Ceuta´, some tax free shopping and eat out in one of the lovely restaurants overlooking the entire Strait.
This offer is based on a tour of two days with 4 people, including breakfast / lunch, overnight stay on board (bed linnen), port fees, diesel. 1100,- Euro not including diving activities and dinner.
If you have additional or other requirements than what we offer over here, we are sure we can work something out.
